Hungry Robins

This year the robin from our yard decided to build her nest on our living room window sill. She never has to leave the yard because we have plenty of her favourite food...worms.We watch her effort to keep her nest safe from the Blue Jays and Black Birds. Robins are a scrappy bird and can fend even squirrels if the have to.

Three eggs were laid and all hatched in about 18 days. The little ones grew so fast that they now have pin feathers and their bodies are catching up to their beaks. They are fun to watch and they give us a certain amount of pleasure. It will not be long before they are off on their own and mother will either start a new family or take a short vacation.
