Last Saturday McKeller held its annual fall fair. Well it rained and rained and sort of ruined some of the expected events. However the local people made the best of it and we attended. Few animals were on display but a pink goat was trouping around the grounds. A large 760 lb. pound pig made his presence known and the chickens did what they do best and squawked at the folks observing them in their small cages.
Displays of crafts were proudly shown and the friendly took time and patience to explain their wares and skills. For small rural Ontario villages and towns who hold fairs there is support from the government and proud members of the community keep the tradition alive. We enjoyed the hours we shared with the locals and wish them success in the coming years.
