Northern Spy Apple Tree
Our Northern Spy apple tree has had a rough few years.Last year it was hit by frost and we received one apple. The year before I pruned the tree to half size and there were no blossoms. This year we were given a scare when we experienced some frost but the tree was unaffected.
The blossoms came a day or so after the frost so we are able to enjoy the beautiful flowers and the aroma which comes from the apple tree. Hopefully we will have a full crop of great apples to share with anyone who wishes to come by. All our fruit trees escaped this year and we will be rewarded with a bountiful crop.
The strawberries were least affected by the cold weather and we should be eating them in about ten days.
