Home Sweet Home

Driving 2325 kms through beautiful country was a wonderful way to arrive home to nice cool weather and a happy reunion with family and friends. You could see the difference in the vegetation as we moved north and it was rather a shock to see our trees without leaves. Last year we never experienced the joy of seeing our tulips and daffodils but this year we will see all the flowers and fruit trees in blossom.

Coming home with a truck load of duplicate items puts a strain on our ability to store the treasures until needed.I suppose that will be taken care of in the near future if we buy a new home. Our van which is a few years old was a great asset as it gave us great mileage and safety even with an overload. I carefully measured the items and placed them in the van to equalize the load. Driving at 115 per hour we made great time and in a safe manner.

We never experienced any problems and noticed a more moderate driving public. Theresa and I use our time on the road to formulate our five and ten year plans. It is a good time to bond and share ideas for the future. We are embarking on a new ten year plan and Doris fits into it-in a positive way. She tried the route of a independent living lodge and she does not like it. We are going to accommodate her and her presence will enrich our lives. I personally will milk her brain in my writing and give a voice for very old seniors who have something to contribute. We are happy to be home and already feel the positive vibes from living closely with family and friends.
