Second Chance

Now that the dust has settled on the political scene here in the USA there is a golden opportunity for a second chance to do the right thing for the American people.Nearly 120 million people voted and spoke through their ballot. They want meaningful change in the way that the elected people do business.

It is so simple for everyone to see how we could solve the problem but so difficult to change the ugly culture of life on the Hill.One would think that after an election the winners would be permitted to govern and all people on the hill would come together for the greater good of the nation.

The USA has the potential to be once more the greatest nation in the world. They really do not have need to fear the enemies from afar but the enemy who lies from within. That enemy is partisan politics which has taken a terrible turn for the worse.

Free votes on issues of national importance would be a start whereby the brain trust of the elected could all express their collective wisdom and come up with solutions. At present with party politics most members never have a chance to even voice their opinion let alone vote by their conscience and intelligence. What a different world without the negative acrimony would evolve and how great would be the progress to making the world a better place in which to live.
